About Me

I have been a fan of Star Trek TOS ever since I was a young boy, I got to see the last season episodes while they were still being broadcasted on NBC nights in 1968 '69.

I enjoy researching for propmakers throughout the internet, I also would like to try to make or have maid a few working props for my own use. The most wanted item that I am interested in are the gooseneck scanners/intercoms that were used primarily on the two pilots: The Cage & Where No Man Has Gone Before. I have seen the phasers, communicators, etc. and they are fantastic but not real even though they light up and make sound.

My ideas for the gooseneck scanner are: a cool desk lamp for my computer desk, to be able to install a small working LCD monitor that works and that can be programmed into my PC to view other websites or PC functions while I am working on my PC. the last thing I would like is to be able to make it a real intercom or for dictation as I have a few freeware dictation programs that I downloaded.
